My '62 was green. At first it was way too big for me. I must have looked pretty funny shifting my hips from side to side trying to keep my feet on the pedals. Took my first "tour" from our house to Corona Del Mar -- a ride of about 13 miles each way. Great thing about the Varsity, you could take a flying leap off curbs and it would still ride okay. When I got my driver's license in 1967 I sold the bike and with the proceeds bought some Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge golf clubs.
